Dean Young

Dean Young

Dean Young is a founding partner of the law firm of Young & Yeargin, LLC, in Akron, Ohio. He earned his B.A. (Magna Cum Laude) from Malone College in 1974, and a J.D. (Cum Laude) from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1977 (and was admitted to practice that year). His practice includes civil litigation, wills, trusts, trust administration, and probate administration. He has argued the following cases before the Ohio Supreme Court: Cole v. Holland (1996), 76 Ohio St.3d 220; Wright v. Bloom (1994), 69 Ohio St.3d 596; and Springfield Local Board of Education v. Summit County Board of Revision (1994), 68 Ohio St.3d 493.

Dean has been an active member of the Summit County Trial Lawyers Association (former president for two terms), the Association for Justice (formerly serving as Trustee), and National Association of Consumer Advocates. He has frequently served as a seminar speaker, including presentations to the Ohio Association for Justice, the Akron Bar Association, and National Association of Consumer Advocates.

Dean also currently serves as a Trustee of Springfield Township, where he is a passionate advocate for the development of township parks as well as community use of the lakefront at Springfield Lake.

Rocco Yeargin

Rocco Yeargin received his B.A. from Hiram College in 1993, Magna Cum Laude, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest academic honor society. Rocco received his J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 1996, Magna Cum Laude. His Professional Memberships include: National Association of Consumer Advocates; Ohio Association for Justice; Summit County Association for Justice; Akron Bar Association; and the Ohio State Bar Association. He has co-authored the Lemon Law chapter of Baldwin’s “Ohio Consumer Law” handbook (2002-2006) and he has lectured on preparing Lemon Law cases for the Ohio Association for Justice.

Rocco’s practice includes civil litigation, consumer litigation, Lemon Law, wills, trusts, probate administration, trust administration, and small business representation. His litigation practice included the precedent-setting case of Eagle v. Fred Martin Motor Company 157 Ohio App.3d 150, which established that it is illegal to require consumers to sign unfair arbitration clauses which deny consumers their day in court.

Rocco served as President of the Summit County Association for Justice during the years 2012-2013, and was President of the Akron area Italian-American Professional Businessmen’s Club for 2013. He currently serves as an officer of the Akron Bar Association Estate Planning, Probate, and Elder Law Section, and also currently serves on the Bar Association Grievance Committee. Rocco is a Sunday school teacher and an avid runner who competes nationally in Masters Track & Field meets.
